This piece immediately caught my eye as I was browsing, and I absolutely love it. The gesture of the open arm is done just right. There isn't too much tension in the arm, nor is there too little. The angle on the head is just right, and the colors that you used are perfect. Your feathering is *very* well done. It's obvious that you have spent time studying the human form as well as the avian form, and you've melded them together here quite well. You have the angle on the shoulder *just* right for where it becomes the wing, and I love the extra feathers that you have drifting down and off the edge of the page. The only thing I would criticize is the background. Minimal is good, but don't be afraid to use more color. More of the *same* color mind you. You don't need any more than you have, but I would love to see more of that purple tone. Well done!
