Description
This is Prototype AX-8755, but most people just call him Axe. He's a robot, yes, but he's a poorly made one. He can outrun you, and he can probably beat you up, and he has good AI, but he is inhuman looking, his joints are crooked, he's somewhat easy to break and his voice box is someone talking into a microphone every word in the dictionary compiled together in a whirring and shambling voicebox that cracks and breaks. His skin is pulled too tightly around a misshapen skeleton, regardless of how it looks in the end.

He's not a very good looking robot, he's freaky and he's creepy and he's probably three feet taller than you and I should he stand up straight, but mostly he lets his arms hang uselessly to the side and hunches over.

I always loved the idea of an imperfect robot. One that doesn't really look very human and doesn't feel very human. Axe has emotions, and has a mentality of a bitter 13 year old, really. Part of him likes being a robot, part of him doesn't. But then again, I think we feel the same way about being human.

I drew this a long time ago when I was at Trish's place in Florida, but I still kind of like it. The markering was the most fun.

He has no actual comic planned for him, but he will have one sometime, somewhere, cos I like him a lot.
