The Abaddon is a recurring high ranking Demon from the Many Realms within Final Fantasy. It is usually a high-level demonic monster that appears closer to the end of Story and requires a higher level party to defeat.
The Hebrew term abaddon appears in the Bible as a place of destruction and an angel, respectively. In the Hebrew Bible, abaddon is used with reference to a bottomless pit, often appearing alongside the place sheol, meaning the land of the dead.
