Description:

The combat drone is a small, fully automatic aerial vehicle equipped with a laser turret. They are very fast and manueverable in the air, which can make focusing on an individual drone difficult. While drones are capable of some autonomous behavior, combat drones are relatively crude and require guidance, which they receive from ground-based drone control hubs.

Drones are also used as a form of transportation for both Octanians (like Octanian Gamma Troopers) and troops in Mental's Horde, such as Beheaded Kamikazes, which they will carry and deploy onto the battlefield to assist the fight against opposing forces.

Unlike the majority of enemies that appear, combat drones have more advanced AI, and are highly nimble and manueverable. Upon sighting the target, the combat drone will fly towards them and begin shooting three red beams from its laser turrets, then fly to another position and do it again. These projectiles are fast, but they travel in a straight line, thus they can be easily evaded by strafing or sidestepping. These beams deal minimal damage upon contact.

When engaging the target, the drone will attempt to flank them and fly around in complicated manuevers to prevent it from being shot down. Despite their complex behavior, combat drones have very low health and can be easily dispatched with small-arms fire, such as a pistol, assault rifle, or pump action shotgun.

If a combat drone is carrying a Kamikaze, it will try to get as close as it can to the enemy to deploy the Kamikaze and then it will begin attacking and behaving as normal.

This type of drone is used for a lot of Combat plans, they may be weak but they are capable of crushing your Base by simply dropping a Beheaded Kamikaze right on your Head.
