This was taken at sunset in Koh Samui. Me & esso were driving around on a scooter while the sun was going down and i saw a nice spot full of palm trees and decided ill try my best to shoot a plam silouhette scene. I didnt have my tripod on me so thats why the ISO is jacked up so high
I really wish i got more sunset pictures in koh samui but when you are on holiday you just dont have the time you want to take pictures.. you just want to relax and soak up the gorgeous atmosphere.. and Koh Samui Thailand is one gorgeous place i LOVE and am going back to.

Pity about the noise from the high ISO..but I guess that this is the sort of shot you can go back and do again

i know! the noise sux.. its a quick edit, i recon i could probably get rid of it with better editing but meh! oh well
the reason why i had it on iso 1600 is cause i didnt have a tripod and knew it would be impossible to get the shot otherwise... only if i had a canon lens with IS.. that woulda come in handy...

It's still a great photo mate. Even IS wouldn't have helped that much. I've got a Nikkor 18-200VR, and the vibration reduction really is excellent, but will only give you another 4 or 5 exposure stops at best.
Like I said though, it's a great moment you've captured here, and the photo shows that.
