Description
This is a fanart of Harry Dresden from Jim Butcher's Desden Files. I'm a big fan of that series and I don't know what took me so long to paint a portrait of Harry...For the fans; this is Harry as he is in Ghost Story - not so beaten up (although definitely not as young as at the beginning of the series) and without his necklace. Also, instead of using fire or lightning to fight, he's using... memories. I thought that a soft blue glow would represent this well. Now I don't want to tell any spoilers so I'm going to stop here.
I'm quite happy with this depiction of Harry as this is exactly how I picture him in my mind. I've seen many fanarts and promo art where he's extremely handsome but although Dresden is described as charming and even cute by some female protagonists, he isn't a hunk. That said, he's a strong man with a lot of conviction, power and someone good who'll do just about anything to protect the ones he loves. I hope you will see him as I do in this painting.

It does look like Harry. So much so that I thought "hey, that's Dresden" even before I read the name.

Nice job. I love the coloring and light sources. The only crits I have really is that the mantle on his duster should go to his elbows and his eyes should be brown.

Personally...I didn't care as much for Ghost Story as I did for some of the previous books. I just felt it wasn't Jim Butcher's best work...still it was a good book. And amazing fan art!

It's interesting to read that you didn't like it that much. I personally really enjoyed it. But then I can't think of a single Dresden Files novel I didn't enjoy so... ahah

I was fairly sure it was finished. The TV series. I looked into it finally because it was not on, and they said it was cancelled. They brought it back then?

Books are highly recommended, I assure you!
Though the show took several liberties with characters and plot because they filmed early in the book series, and made their own connections.
So take the show as a slightly separate media outlet for the 13+ book series...books are scheduled to be around 20-25 in the series. This year, book 14 Cold Days is being released! 
There are also comic books that are tied to the book series and overseen by the author - so visuals are closest to accurate to what the author Jim Butcher sees in his head. Though they're still new and only as far as book 2...
