Well, I wasn't sure which color lightsaber went with a Dark Jedi... plus she has a red sword, that was literally the only reason I gave her a red lightsaber XD

Like with Ruby, her main color is black and red, and red is a much more common lightsaber color than black XD

Red sabre crystal is not necessary synthetic or using the Force to craft them if we are talking about lightsaber crystal or Kyber class ones, I am merging the lore here a bit, but there is a hell of a lot of difference in regards to using a crystal lens from an industrial processing machine for a blasters heating inner laser beam system and the ones from a lightsaber, but other then that its very stop on,
