Hi, fellow deviants!
A humble water-soluble pencil and water colour painting I did about five of my favourite species of butterflies that you can find flying and dancing around the fields in Finland.
These are the peacock butterfly (Aglais io), the red admiral (Vanessa atalanta), the small tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae), the painted lady (Vanessa cardui) and the orange tip butterfly (Anthocharis cardamines).
I had a lot of fun making this, and I also discovered some interesting things about the wing patterns of these delicate, lovely and wonderful creatures.

we have all those round here, but sadly they vanish more and more from year to year, it brings the water to my ewyes sometimes... 
since then years i live in a small village and we still have swallows and sparrows and many other songbirds, but several species have also gone already...

Butterflies are such incredible creatures. You have captured a fine amount of details here, while also clearly doing a lot of research on each species, so kudos!
