okej, podoba mi sie ułożenie psów i widok. nie chce pużniej kłutni, że użyłam albo skopiowałam twoją stronę, więc chce sie zapytać, czy moge wykorzystać ułożenie psów na jednej ze stron mojego komixsu. Ale nie będą takie same psy, tylko będą wilki...

The problem is that's not only because the dog sled x(

Only after someone down there commented that it reminds him the opening scene from Balto, we went to youtube to see it (we both don't like this film and we've seen it 5-6 years ago).. And there is not only the dog sled but also a narrow passage in the mountains >.<
After we've seen that we just got depressed cause we just shot ourselves in the foot not even knowing about it. It just proves how lame and unoriginal ideas we have... ._.

Oh pah, that is baloney. They're going through a mountain pass, is that so hard to believe that would be something dog sledders do? Plus, it's not like Balto ever met a snow leopard or one of the dogs in the dog sled team is a main character.

Also...I wouldn't feel bad about that. I had the SAME thing happen with TLK2 o_O Someone told me they got reminded of it, and since I don't even remember that movie I went back and watched a part. It's not the same, but the similarities are there. Luckily, it's an easy fix and I'm going to redo two pages. Yours though, it has nothing to do with the plot, so. It gets hard when you're doing animal comics because everything under the sun is going to remind people of the small number of animal movies that exist and a lot of things just seem natural to draw, but they're taken.

Well, a mountain path + dog sleds are much closer to Balto than the sled alone, so no wonder people see it there. It doesn't really matter if it's important in the plot or not. The problem is that's there in the first place
OW started as a Wolf's Rain fan comic (the first few pages which are no more now), so now we try to run away as far as possible from all similarities possible. That's damn hard because there were so many motifs there, that it's in fact really hard to bypass with the plot we have started with (and the true beginning of actually thinking about where the plot is going starts around the page 20 when I've started to help akreon x3). So ok... there were wolves, the snow and the end of the world - we've started with that and we can't argue if people will see similarities there... But there was also a desert AND beautiful green scenery, destroyed cities AND high tech cities, trains and cars and space ships, there were scientific experiments AND pagan beliefs and that's just the top of the iceberg... even the motif of Indians (ergo also the Eskimo or anything similar) or something as simple as a walrus (ergo any other sea creature) is now not available for us. But Wolf's Rain is one thing. There are also around 4 or 5 sequels of Balto which I haven't even seen! I'm scared to even think how many things we have to sidestep not to be connected with them.

But how on earth are Guardians similar to TLK2? Can you tell me which part it is cause I can't tell any similarities o.O

If you say so XD I haven't actually seen Balto in a long time and I can't seem to find the opening on youtube... Keeps getting taken down over copyright. I'll have to borrow it from my sister.

You know, I've never actually watched Wolf's Rain so I can't say how many similarities I've ever seen other than the old style akreon -used- to have. Now her style is variant enough to be different.

As far Guardians being like TLK2 - there is a scene where one cub wonders off and bumps into a cub from a different place. Even though it's pretty much something anyone would think of, I don't want to risk any similarities. There is first of all a similarity between the names "Kotu" and "Kovu", which I hate because Kotu was created years previous before Kovu came out.

As far as the story goes, mine has been planned out pretty meticulously for awhile. I wrote the basics of it back when I was just a kid. Now it is much more mature, and other than the creation story and basic principle - completely updated to be smarter, and better scripted. I was always a writer before I was an artist. I never even drew my character Kotu until years after he was created - just roleplayed him on my own section of a multi-text chat kingdom. Like I said, if you guys ever need help with anything, I am willing to oblige.
