[VE] | Triplets | ToY1It always smelt musky and wet in here didn’t it? Phaedrus mused, sharply exhaling through her nose to be rid of the stench that filled their over-crowded section of the living quarters. It was enough to have a large family surrounding you at all hours - a doormat of an eldest brother, a businesswoman of an eldest sister, then the hyena and the soldier that were her direct siblings. And then there was mother - that wicked creature of a Vesper - Karatche, they called her here, but formerly known as Libra. If Phae remembered right, their mother absolutely adored her treatment when joining the Oath, and dragging her litter with her. Except for an additional sibling they’d been born with, evidently - who’d been stolen away by their father (a pale, blue-coated Vesper if she’d heard her mother right) in the night’s shadow.
Lucky little sister.
The sneer fell from her lips, face falling to apathy upon consideration of the life they’d been [VE] || Lesson Learned || ToY 2"No," a light voice proclaimed, cutting cleanly through the air in the musky cavern they called home, "Once you're older you may leave - until then you need to stay here."
A pale blue vesper pup, not yet brandishing his markings clearly, groaned in response, glaring at the adult looming over him and his siblings.
"We just want to go out! It's boring in here, Mom! It's not like it's against the rules--"
The largest of the litter piped up, dark brown eyes cast down, "It is, actually..." earning a harsh shove into the packed dirt of their home, brown patches now muddling his fur. 
The adult smiled in response, the scar across her face splitting her lips further to display deep yellow teeth, and put a paw between the two boys, bringing her face closer to the eldest son. 
"You heard your brother, didn't you? Hm? We've only been here for a short while, child," she his [VE] That's More Like It | ToY 3Ka-chunk.

And with that a deafening silence engulfed the room, the taste of bile collecting in Aniketos' mouth as the dull blue eyes of the Vesper before him stared into his core.
"...they'll go through whomever you're closest to."
The last words Karatche said before taking her leave continued to reverberate in his skull, a painful throbbing engulfing him. He could hardly believe he was being punished for his brother's actions - he shouldn't be held accountable for him right? He was the responsible one - the apple of his mother's eye - the loyal little soldier who wouldn't dare step out of line. Certainly this was some joke - his mother wouldn't put him through this - she's not that cruel, right?
Oh, but she is, part of him answered, as a coal black paw pressed him into the ground, applying just enough force to push harsh gasps for breath from the pup, strangled whines hitching as he fought for breath.
