Description This one seemed to turn out nicely. Modeled entirely in Bryce 5, volumetric clouds and all. Color heavily manipulated in Photoshop, and some edges smudged to not look so rough. Lights were also added in Photoshop. It reminds me of my older work, especially, let's see here, [link] this one.

Modeling time: 1 hour
Render time: 30 minutes
Photoshop time: 1 hour
Total: 2.5 hours

I like the heavy perspective on this one, mostly caused by an illusion of expanding the field of vision (fish eye lens). As consistent with my photography work [link] , I like soft pinks against heavy blues. I decided to not photoshop this one as much as my other recent landscapes, as an organic look wouldn't fit a technical architecture. I'm rather happy with it though as it is. Makes for a nice desktop wallpaper, though it wasn't oringally intended to be.

Comments appreciated. Criticism honored.

That is bad ass! I really love the exagerated perspective, and the colors that you've used. Very nicely done

This vagually reminds me so much of Jet Force Gemini, the blue, architechue, and the in cloud feel of it is what set me off. Very original style - very beautiful.

This is magnificent as soon as I saw it in full view it conjurred images of the gates of heaven. I used to do 3d work myself last year and I know how hard it is to create such an amazing render.

I like the comparism in this picture. The cold, hard and architectural structures piercing through the soft overlaying clouds really does it for this picture. Villy good, I must say

very nice.

it makes me think of the human race and how our world will be in a few years time. we want to build bigger and better things, it dosent matrter if they serve a purpose or not. just aslong as they're bigger and better then what we've built before.

the new sky rises are just that, constructions of pure steal and strenght that power higher then any bird could fly, the coulds no longer forming a halo, but a belt around these constructions.

this is litterly the hight of civilization

very nice work

very cool. The only things I would say though is firstly, the towers look too clean and also, their function isn't really obvious at all.. what are they for, for someone to build such huge structures they must serve a purpose.

Brilliant composition, and just amazing clouds. I really like the contrast between the pinks and blues that you talked about. The only thing I can think of that might make it even better is that perhaps the structure texture could use a bit more detail? But awesome pic.

This is great, great composition, especially love the clouds. Seems like the whole construct is engulfed in some storm.

The models are ok, but the texturing has a little to be desired. I think what would look great would be a rusty metal texture all over. Or leave it like it is, right now it looks very clean, futuristic and hence unrealistic.

Still very cool idea, great job.

Im not into renders, but I must say the clouds on this make me want to hump my leg, if only i could capture clouds like that in real life

all I can say is more detail as stated above me, bolts, rivets, rust, color and tonal changes in the metal etc

awesome grasp keep going

Sorry I'm so late in commenting....

I like this deviation, you have a good sense of dept and perspective, the clouds looks good also.
And like you often do, you amaze me with totally "where does this come from?" constructions... Thinking about becoming an architech? You sure have an eye for it!

If there is a critic I can give, is that those construction look too perfect to be real... They are all smooth and flawless. Were those made of metals you would se bolts and whatever they use to make those big things hold together.... You might also see rust and "vertdegris" around those bolts, you might have palces were the colors is also different tints a bit.

I like the lights, they break the uniformity.... I would have like to see more of those.

Good work!!!

Very cool work, I especially like the clouds. Is the structure supossed to be made out of metal? cause right now it seems more like plastic. Metal either has a sheen to it or as it get's older it tarnishes. Overall great perspective.
Keep it up.

This si really nice! The render could use a bit more shading, but the structure of it is very well done. I dont really know how you make clouds in Bryce, so Im jsut gonna say they look really nice, which they do. Nice depth. I wish you'd have put the lights going down the leg of the structure on the left, also on the right tho.
I think the overall picture and perspective is pretty good
Nice job!
