I wonder sometimes when I see *jollyjack 's artwork appear in my devwatch. I wonder if he has a severe illness where he'll suffer severe withdrawal if a day passes by when he doesn't create half-a-dozen fantastic lines. If we've ever had "lineart machines" come by here, he would be a one-man lineart mass production line. I highly recommend people watch him not only because of the gargantuan variety of lines he upload, not only because of his ability to tell stories and convey action, but especially because he's an overall nice guy with a delightfully crass sense of humor.
This is the third piece of his that I've colored.

I always give great credit to line artists, and will always consider them vastly more talented than color artists. While it takes a lot of technical knowledge and deduction to get the lighting, shadows, value, and layout right for the color step of an image, the line artists have to muster the creativity, construction, and completion of the lines first. And that, in my opinion, takes a heck of a lot more talent.

I suppose you're right.
But blending and coloring can get suddenly a lot more difficult.
I mean, there's the basic blocks of color, but after that you have to mix through your palette until you find the right colors, and then you have to blend them efficiently enough to make them look plausible. There's also the fact that you have to debate over color schemes over and over, and most of the time it ends up pissing me off, and putting a burning hole in my head @.@
