I like the background a whole LOT more than the actual character though. I would work on drawing the characters in that dark style. The bright pastel colors don't fit. I was expecting someone scary 
I LOVE the spell circles at the top though.
I'm glad I did full view, it's much better that way.

I'm disapointed because That character Deserved
to be scary. I think your art would improve if you
could draw the awesome backgrounds and the characters
in the same style. Right now things (for the characters)
are a bit too cartoonish, pastelly, and anatomically odd
for me. ...Considering how cool the spell circles look,
I would tell you to go after the darker more realistic style
of cat-person, because you're showing more very cool stuff
in that direction than in the vibrant cartoon/anime color
direction (not that realistic means bleak or non-vibrant).

Eh whatever, I just thought it would be cool
because after the truely awesome intro
the character was a giant letdown.
Whichever way you go, it tends to look
better if you pick a style and mood
and then stick with it.
You don't want to see a realistic face
in a cartoon and you don't want to see
Pikachu show up in your murder sceen

It's furry, man. The whole picture is very unified. The character shouldn't be darker or brighter, so I don't understand your butthurtabout it. If you don't like the pic - just leave.
