It's true. And obviously it's your art--it should be what you intend for it to be.

I'm coming from a place of valuing character design that has an internal logic & that is the source of its "beauty." The fighter girl in heels is a really common trope --so there's obviously a precedent & a fan base for this type of design--but I think it's a problematic one.

That's my perspective. I'm sure you have your own, & that's fine too.

she's not fighter. That's the point. She's pilot, sitting in the pilot's chair. Character like this was trained to fight and to shoot, but it's not like Han Solo, nope. it's way more related to Joker from Mass Effect.

however, since she is a pilot she wouldnt need to be doing any running or even much standing, so i think its fairly reasonable

If she's a commercial pilot. (In that case I don't feel like her suit tells that story.) If she's like a spaceship pilot I can't imagine she wouldn't need to fight. Maybe she's not an active lookin for trouble ham solo type, but what if aliens attack her ship while the crew is away?

What I'm saying is I don't think the design holds up and I think it falls under a tired trope. Feel free to rationalize however you need to.
