A mercenary who was raised by her father, Jeralt, Byleth is known far and wide as the Ashen Demon. Byleth is approached to teach at the Officer's Academy of Garreg Mach Monastery, choosing one of Three Houses, each with a leader and eager young students. As part of their training, Byleth will teach her students different weapon skills and abilities, and even take them into combat. How her students grow and develop is up to her, to prepare for an oncoming war. As the bearer of the Crest of Flames, Byleth can wield the Sword of the Creator, and she even has visions of a girl named Sothis, who has no memories of her past.
