This is how Link appears in titles such as Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Four Swords and Minish Cap. As the name suggests, it is a cartoonish child-like design. In Wind Waker, he ventured from his home on Outset Island to rescue his sister who was kidnapped by the monstrous Helmaroc King. Teaming up with the pirate, Tetra, the sentient boat, King of Red Lions and using the mystical baton, the Wind Waker, Link traveled across the ocean, visiting many islands on a quest to rescue his sister, and eventually draw the Master Sword and defeat Ganondorf.

I still prefer Young Link but I do love that Toon Link is a fighter in Smash as well as the name itself for some reason. On a side note, your updated drawing of Toon Link makes him look older/taller in my opinion which is fine but but that's just me. LOL

I just wish they had given Young Link a better Final Smash. Something involving a transformation to Fierce Deity.
Or better yet, I wish Young Link had taken on either a proper Majora's Mask look or his Link's Awakening / Oracle look, so it would still be in line with representing different Zelda titles.

Wind Waker is probably my favorite Zelda game. I didn't like the art style at first and thought the game would be too cutesy. Hoo boy, did I end up eating my words.

So many people felt the same way. I knew it was gonna be a great game that still managed to capture the Zelda essence. And now, we get to look forward to an HD remake for the Wii U.
