Bio: Preyas is a Bakugan of the Aquos Attribute. He’s the first of many Bakugan companions of Marucho Marukura. Though the show said that he was supposed to have left Marucho, he still sticks by the boy’s side, even with the majority of the boy’s other Bakugan, who he also seems to get along with. He’s the only one of the original six Partner Bakugan who never physically evolved, though he does have an evolution in the separate twin Bakugan Preyas Angelo and Diablo.

While not initially seen, Preyas was one of the many Bakugan with the natives that witnessed Dan Kuso and Alice Gehabich battle Drago and Hydranoid.

He goes with Marucho when he leaves to get Pikachu and Agumon some food.

When Pikachu asks Marucho about his partner Bakugan, Preyas is one of the many Bakugan that hop onto the table, and is the first to be introduced.

When the conversation moves to Drago’s evolutions, he gets jealous enough to speak up. Pikachu then half-jokes that the writers either hated him, or he was the most powerful one who couldn’t be improved. Despite it being a joke, Preyas cheers up after gaining a new potential perspective.

Upon finding out about Quality-of-life improving forms, Preyas becomes excited at the prospect of being short enough to actually be able to interact with everyone outside of ball form. He expresses a desire to try it out, but is calmed down by Drago. He then asks Pikachu for other things he knows about the Digital Universe, as well as seeming amused by the thought of Drago choosing to transform back to his pre-evolved state.

After Drago hesitantly refuses an offer to battle from Pikachu, Preyas reveals a desire to battle him, and challenges the mouse instead. Pikachu accepts, and Preyas is excited to be able to be the “first Bakugan to fight a Pokemon”.

When the battle begins, and he’s thrown into it, his first order is to change Attribute, which he does into Subterra. With that Attribute being Ground, Preyas figured that he’d have an advantage, since he turned his potential weakness to Electric into an immunity. When Pikachu shows him confidence in the face of that, he merely turns to Marucho, but begins to worry when his human partner reveals that most of their typical ways of battling won’t work.

Pikachu actually gives Preyas some tips and a little encouragement, but then proceeds to use his much smaller height to his advantage. The mouse ends up climbing up Preyas, and uses things like Quick Attack and Iron Tail. The battle is over within mere minutes, Preyas losing even though he stayed in Subterra form and Pikachu didn’t use a single Electric move. Preyas is so disheartened, he makes a remark about never battling again, though Marucho lifts his spirits with some encouragement of his own.

Preyas reappears - alongside the rest of Marucho’s Bakugan - while the others are fighting the trio of dragons in Bayview. They surprise attack the dark blue and gray dragons, allowing Dan and Julie Makimoto to be freed.

All of them - Preyas included - appear to have figured out how to access Quality-of-Life Enhancing Forms, as they’re all smaller than normal. Preyas personally shows to be happy and rather proud about this.

During the all out attack, he seemed to use a blue attack. After it appears to have worked, Preyas was shown to think that it was better than anything they had ever done in their show. He was one of the only Bakugan to not go back to ball form, instead choosing to stay in his new, shorter form, at least until Marucho made him so they could fly to Bakugan City on Leonidas and Wavern. He was disappointed, but obeyed, even being the first to do so.

Back within the Headquarters, Preyas - and some of Marucho’s other Bakugan - offer to get everyone everything for lunch. Pikachu was convinced this was so that they had an excuse to assume their smaller forms again. When lunch gets interrupted by Ren Krawler revealing dragon activity in Gundalia, no one - not even Preyas - complains about going into ball form, doing so immediately upon Marucho’s request.

When looking through Gundalia, however, Preyas asks if Marucho wants any of them to search on foot with them, clearly wanting to assume his new form. Marucho politely denies, saying they shouldn’t have too big a group. While disappointed, Preyas accepts this.

After Jake notices a dragon, and accidentally scares it off, Preyas surprisingly chases after Pikachu when the mouse bolts after the dragon, the Bakugan turning into his new, smaller form. He’s unable to catch up to the mouse until he pauses to listen for the dragon. When he does, he compliments Pikachu on his speed.

When Pikachu shows a desire to want to keep looking for the dragon, Preyas is unsure, not wanting to get lost or attacked by dragons. Pikachu questions if he means they or the others get attacked, and insists that Preyas is safe with him, regardless of how many dragons there might be.

Preyas is amused by the mouse’s confidence, and asks that if he’s so good, why hasn’t his device given him his powers. Pikachu ends up throwing Preyas’ words back at him, asking why he didn’t evolve. Preyas recalls that Pikachu said himself that it might have been because he was already perfect, and suddenly realizes what the mouse was doing.

Preyas accepts that, but then says he’s worried about Marucho and the others, asking to head back. Pikachu ultimately accepts, and they do so, finding them quite easily. During this time, Preyas actually apparently manages to stay rather quiet. After the group talks, and Marucho gives them advice, Preyas returns to ball form, and returns to his partner’s side as they search.

When Marucho calls Fabia Sheen to find out why she never contacted them, after she was supposed to have come to Gundalia as well, Preyas proposes looking out for the dragons to the Bakugan, doing so in their ball forms.

Upon getting back to Headquarters and deciding they’re going to eat, Preyas - and Marucho’s other Bakugan - rush out to go get everything for them in their shorter forms. They also take all of the objects back down after everyone finishes.

Preyas is shown to be happy even when others achieve or are said to have achieved their smaller Quality-of-Life Enhancing forms, as exemplified when he found out Fabia’s partner Aranaut did. After entering Neathia, he was happy to reunite with fellow partner Bakugan Akwimos.

He changes into his smaller form to help the group across the lake - alongside Marucho’s other Bakugan - and explains what they did to Akwimos when he gets shocked. Preyas says that they’re all going to have to teach Akwimos. Preyas carried Marucho across on his first trip to the other side of the lake. He did the same thing when they reencountered the lake on their way back.

Preyas lept into battle when they reached the chasm they believed the dragons fled to, alongside all of Marucho’s other Bakugan. They did so without Marucho having to physically send them out. When Akwimos is the only one not in a smaller form, Preyas offers to teach him how to obtain it, but is stopped.

After the all out attack seems to work, Preyas returns to Marucho in his ball form. He then questions what they should do next. When they return to Headquarters after popping by Neathia, he and the other Aquos Bakugan were revealed to have put a word in to start lunch. He also apparently helped make it. He also helped to take everything back down.

When Pikachu notices that Akwimos is also finally in a smaller form, the mouse theorizes that Preyas had taught him.
