Description
Vixen - Ballpoint Pen on paper.This is a small project between two other bigger projects. It looks how it looks and has the colors it has because I wanted it to be that way. I love strong colors and contrasts.
The red fox (Vulpes vulpes) is the largest of the true foxes, as well as being the most geographically spread member of the Carnivora, being distributed across the entire northern hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to North Africa, Central America and Asia. Its range has increased alongside human expansion, having been introduced to Australia, where it is considered harmful to native mammal and bird populations.
Red foxes are social animals, whose groups are led by a mated pair which monopolizes breeding. Subordinates within a group are typically the young of the mated pair, who remain with their parents to assist in caring for new kits.
Took aprox. 8 hours to finish.
The original size is 6,5" x 7,5" or 17cm x 19cm.

I love how the individual strokes in the fur are visible around the neck. The way that you are able to not only include smoothe backgrounds, but yet still have smooth eyes just takes my breath away...

I love this one because like a previous commentator said, you can see the pen strokes. The photographic type pictures are SO good, that it's hard to believe they are drawn, but seeing this one really brings home how skilful you are! Very good!
