Back in preschool Bubbles was my favorite Powerpuff girl. I loved her so much that one year I went as Bubbles for Halloween. I remember being laughed at because of her big eyes that I wore that day and I remember feeling really embarassed. I remember that day because it was the only day I ever questioned my race. Was I being made fun of because I didn't "look" like Bubbles, did I just look silly for wanting to look like Bubbles that day. I mean she looked very different than me so I guess I got it if that's what it was. But you know, even though I felt bad that day, I don't regret being Bubbles that year because she was still my favorite Powerpuff and there was nothing wrong with that. Who cared if I didn't have blond hair or blue eyes, and I was practicly a menace back in preschool anyway? Nowadays I see TONS of people dressing up as characters who aren't the same race as them all the time and they OWN it.

I guess that day was just the first day I became aware of that difference, but knowing that didn't change how I acted or how I treated people in the slightest, and I didn't drop the things I liked just because people made fun of them. I just knew that Bubbles was sweet and I wanted to be just as sweet.

So thinking back on this day I wanted to make this for the Nov 18, 2018 20th anniversy of PPG as a personal experience so many years ago. If I could go back in time, I'd tell myself to be proud since not anyone could be strong enough to be a power puff girl. PPG being twenty years old definetly makes me feel old since I'm only several months younger than it, and it just makes me think "Ouch...It's been that long?" but also "Wow, I'm younger than the Powerpuff Girls" xD
