Hahaa i doubt mothman is actually fluffy but i totally interpret him as fluffy because regular moths are fluffy~
Aaah thank you so much, im happy you like my backgrounds! <3 here i'll tell you a bit about how i set the backgrounds depending on time of day/lighting:
-if the scene takes place in daylight or a bright environment, draw all objects in the background in their normal colors! remember to add shading depending on the lightsource~
-if the scene takes place during sunset/sunrise or a dimly lit environment, first draw all objects in the background, then overlay them on another layer with a darkish pink and use the "multiply" effect provided that your art program has one.
-if the scene takes place during night or in a dark environment with a dim light source other than stars(ex: the moon) then silhouette background objects in black, then create a new layer and use the normal colors of each object to add highlights(ofc corresponding to the light source)! i also recommend decreasing the opacity of this layer, unless the light source is quite bright ^^
-oh and if in a dark environment with a brighter light source, you can just draw out the objects normally and then shade them according to the light source
hope this helped! X"D
