Working on a MAYBE redesign for chrissi
Mainly because i've playing around with a new idea for her, and I had found the song "Leave Luanne" which lined up REALLY well with what I was thinking of doing with her. So I made this version of her inspired by that song, ditching the radioactive, toxic waste themed design and go for a more swamp look (Also played with giving her a different name)
I also put various notes about her on the ref (Excuse my poor handwriting)
I honestly don't know which I should stick with, I LOVE both the designs

I love your character design so much! Especially seeing how you went from the sketch to this. There's so much personality to them, and visual storytelling too! The chains, the fireflies, the outfit in general!

she was honestly really fun to design, I pretty much just used her prior design, but added into it, and adding a few references to the song the design is inspired by! Like, the marking around her eye is supposed resemble a black eye, her other eye is all busted and the chains are a reference to a specific line in the song. And the general swamp look was inspired by the song

Music is definitely a great inspiration for character design; I'm actually in a class where I'm going to be assigned to storyboard a song to a character later this semester! I plan on working with my character Sorren and his song "Seven Seas of Rhye" By Queen!Β
