In the game Umbrella Corps for PS4 it’s hinted that there’s either a clone of him alive or that it was a clone killed in 5 (which might make more sense if they are trying to do imperfect clones like Alice in the movies). Either way, Wesker is too important to the series to stay dead! It’s like if Nintendo suddenly killed off Bowser.

Not fond of Obama myself due to his... policies, but I do agree, Wesker's fate in Resident Evil 5 was very badly handled. They should bring him back, if only so that when they do kill him, they actually do it right.
