Description Modeled in Blender 2.54, and rendered in C4D

My first "real model" you could say. Box-modeled out of two cubes, materials added in Cinema4D. Nothing really impressive when put up against some of the things I have seen, but I'm learning!

Hey, you're gonna have to teach me how to do this kinda stuff Blender has a rather steep learning curve, and some of the tutorials on blender.org are no longer available

There's actually a two-part axe modeling tutorial here: [link] I used most of it but kind of went off on my own. I hope to make a much more detailed one later This will get you started though. Make sure you have the latest Blender available before watching the tutorial

Here's a screenshot of my Blender program open, this will kind of explain it. [link] This is "box-modeling", so basically you take a box and subdivide it a bunch of times, the start pulling on some of the vertices like I showed in the screenshot This axe was made with two boxes, one for the handle, and one for the blade.

Haha! You should have seen the older version, they have cleaned it up a lot since then. It kind of looks like C4D and ZBrush now

I'm still learning, I barely got through the modeling part. I used Oak with a bit of gloss on it, and polished chrome for the blade, more or less a ceremonial axe in my opinion. I'll make one later and beat it all up

Thank you! Yep, first real one for sure. I did a pumpkin and some dice, but that was relatively easy compared to this. Lot's of fun though!
