More Fanart! What was a simple pun on my part become a simple sketch which became a detailed color illustration woops.
Been playing Wind Waker HD, obviously, and of course one of the best features in any video game ever is being able to take selfies. In light of this new experience, I'm thinking of writing a quick review of the game. It's got a lot of subtle improvements most people wouldn't even notice unless they played the original as heavily as I did.

The Tingle Bottle is a new feature in Wind Waker HD. Instead of giving you the Tingle Tuner when you release him from prison, Tingle gives you the Tingle Bottle, which allows you to either draw pictures, take photos, or take selfies. (Another feature of the HD remake.) You can put these things into a Tingle Bottle and send it off, where it travels through the seas, or rather, the internet, and some other lucky player may find your bottle. As well as of course you can pick up Tingle Bottles you see sitting on the shores of islands and read what other players had to say or what kind of selfies they took while fighting Ganondorf. It's really fun.Β

I've seen play thrus of the game before playing it and where ever he went, I kept seeing bottles that looked like tingle. That was the HD version.

Yup! Also extremely useful if you're trying to 100% the game and you're collecting pictographs to turn into figurines. Those rare photos that are hard to achieve? You might just stumble across it on the shore, no need to get it the traditional way.Β

Oh I'm sure all those features should be available in the second quest. (I've replayed WW many times and to this day I've still never played the second quest.)

In the second quest, you play as outset link. (I already know that and I'm still looking for the triforce shards yet I found one intentionally and one unintentionally)

I know all the features in the second quest, like color pictograph right away and hylian languages being translated. It's just my personal curse, the second quest has always come up inconvenient to play.Β

It's hard to say, I don't really time myself anymore. I probably should.
My guess is this piece took from about 3 - 6 hours to complete, starting from the sketch stage. I've been getting slightly faster at coloring and mastering as of late because I've been pushing myself to create more pieces worthy of being sold as prints. (Because I work at conventions and I need the moneys.)

Yeah I go to a few different conventions. (Used to be in the midwest but I just recently moved out west and my convention lineup is gonna be different.) I do artist alley at conventions and sell my artwork. Prints, buttons, badges, charms.... and I also have two other members of my studio, who provide even more products. It's our hobby job, but it would be SUPER cool if we could make a living out of it, haha.Β

Yeah it's a job I actually enjoy doing. Table setup/tear down is pretty grueling work, but I enjoy talking to costumers and hearing the squees at my art. XD It's exhausting, but a total blast. The best thing is meeting my deviant watchers in person.
Yeah we sell lots of stuff. I'm always looking to create new art for prints and charms. And all our funds just go to more art supplies and convention expenses, so really, it pays for itself. But is non-profit. If that makes any sense.

It's just a reality of life. Art is a real product with a real price on it. I can't afford other people's art most of the time, but as an artist myself, I will never shame them for charging what it's worth.Β

This past year was my first time trying to sell prints, albeit I didn't expect them to sell. However they really got some traffic, which sucked only because I under stocked. @_@
I'd love to print my work more professionally than I do at home. Just gotta find a good printer.
