Here is Umataro Tenma and Hiroshi Ochanomizu from Atom: The Beginning.This series was made as a prequel (and alternate universe) to Tezuka's Astro Boy. It focuses mainly on Tenma and Ochanomizu as they are younger, and in their twenties.
There definitely seems to be something between those two.
