Originally this was a red bag which faded quite a bit over time, so I decided to colour it and I chose brown because I had some lovely materials that would suit it nicely.So I made a rectangular shaped satin base and 'covered' it with golden lace, then added the brown venetian lace on the sides and sewed the decorated fabric on the bag.
It suits the rest of my Steampunk-coloured outfit I made for an upcoming fantasy fair called Castlefest (in Holland) so I'm quite pleased with how it turned out
I'll maybe take another picture of this later since I'm not so pleased with this one xD
I also made some other accessoiries which I'll probably upload soon

You did a great job with the coloring and sewing. This is something that you could get away with both at the fantasy fair and just around town I think.

Haha yes I thought so too, it's very neutral so I use it quite often ^^ And even if it was a bit more "eccentric", I wouldn't mind to use it actually ^^ As long as it's not too over-the-top stereotype in any way

Anyway, I'm thinking about making a bigger version of this for a schoolbag. But then I have no old bags to converse so I'd have to make it from scratch. And it ofcourse needs to be very sturdy to be able to carry books so that's probably less easy O_o Oh well, I'll see if I even get to that this vacation
