The original trilogy was the absolute guide on how to make a family friendly 3D platformer.
From then on, it was a guide on how not to treat a character. Crash could have been the third greatest videogame mascot if Naughty Dog was still on charge.

Newer generation games have a lot of issues we didn't have back in the PS2 or PS3 days.
Main problem: Incomplete games released before they should be released, with no proper beta testing. Shit ton of patches, later on. And that goddamn DLC curse. I have a serious Love/Hate issue with DLC.
Thankfully the alleged best selling game of all time, GTA V and rockstar have been cool enough to have all DLC for free.

I heard in the Terms and Conditions of Steam that you don't actually buy games from there. You're buying a license to play them. Which means you're actually renting a game, so if anything happens you'll have no right to do anything at all.
But yeah DLC are a complete robbery! Particularly with WWE Games, I don't know if you're familiar to them but You actually pay for stuff that's already on the disk/original game. You only pay for the unlock! (Ultimate Warrior is the most obvious case, since you can play as him on story mode yet you can't unlock him for everything else unless you pre-ordered/buy the DLC).

That's one of the reasons I didn't want an XBox 360, that and the fact that there was none that didn't need an external device to increase their storage size.

I had the same issue with Anime a couple of years ago. You know, back when turning EVERYTHING into anime.
It was so annoying to see anything you liked being drawn in anime form. It was so massive it got that I even started hating anime... It was like "Oh, I went to the goddamn toilet and my shit looked kinda cute, so why not draw it anime style".
Thankfully that time is now over and people actually come out with original anime concepts and it can be said I'm on "great terms" with anime, now. I even watch some periodically with my girlfriend, now! And own a couple of figures

I'm not an expert at all, and I've watched very few. But at this very moment I could say that Clannad was the absolute best of all I've watched. There are probably better, you know. But from the ones that pretty much stick to real life that one really caught me. To the point of making me cry TWICE in one single episode, and almost not any fictional product makes me cry.
But yeah, I get your point... People who like everything from one genre, just because it is that genre's. Somewhat like metalheads who like anything that's labeled as "metal" or "rock" and nothing else, or Fanboys in general.
