Description
Loren is the salamander (fire spirit) companion of my character Ruby. His appearance is up for debate in my head, but I figured I'd play with a temporary appearance for him. This is my interpretation of what he might look like for now. In my imagination, he reminds me of something between a cat and a traditional reptilian-looking dragon. His paws and skin are soft, but smooth - he isn't furry like a feline, but he isn't scaled either. Obviously Lore is warm to the touch (more so than most creatures) and his internal temperature is well over five hundred degrees Fahrenheit; his skin is well insulated to avoid burning or heating anything else around him.

The blue and white at his throat are actually from his heart. The colors pulse with his heartbeat.

His tail does have a flame on it, but he has it in control most of the time so it doesn't burn anything. Lore does lose it sometimes when excited or under stress and has been known to set things on fire if he's overly stimulated.

Loren's got some work to be done on him, and this is a very quickie job. I didn't even shade or anything, and did most of it with my mouse. OTL
