Hi, I found this through Project Comment.
First off, this is a brilliant piece for you to start off Inktober with! As someone who's currently doing Inktober as well, I'm impressed on your interpretation of the first prompt. I would have never thought about doing an angel's halo ring!
Really bold but unique decision to have the wings be small with ruffled black feathers, as opposed to smooth white ones you’d normally see with angels.
I really like your use of the two pens throughout this piece.
The difference in line variation helps makes this image very visually pleasing to look at.
The small precise strokes from the line art pen, combined with the rough strokes from the brush pen really help create a nice contrast for the picture. The brush pen strokes on the wings and feathers are loose enough without being too wobbly.
The anatomy for the most part is nicely done. Really like the dramatic angle of the angel tipping her head back. The muscles in her face and arms nicely rendered to give a sense of weight and form.
Only critiques I will say is that the head seems just a little too big compared to the rest of her body. Also, while the shading is good, there are couple areas around her face and arms where you could have gone for a darker shadow. It would have really made the glow from her halo ring all the more impressive! But it’s nothing that is too jarring.
Overall, this is a great piece! Now I’ll have to check out the rest of your Inktober submissions!

Hello! Thank you for the comment and that surprised me! Now that you mention Frieza I also see some similarity. The irony is that I draw a lot of DBZ characters, but never Frieza lol
