Description zelda 2 has received mixed up reviews, and it is considered by many as the black ship of the zelda series because it was hard to the point of being unfair(some people have similar feelings for skyward sword).
link to the past is considered by many to be one of the best games in the series,in my opinion it's not.it sure is better than zelda 2 but it has so many flaws I just can't love it.

the game has many enemies that are either trolls or they require 1 item to be killed which forces the player to change items all the time.
the world in that game is way too big.the map does not encourage exploration like it does in other games.there are many dungeons that are either too big or too complicated(there some dungeons that pretty good),if you die in a boss battle you end up back to the begin of the temple and there is no shortcut to go to the boss room faster.unfortunately this issue was not fixed in the gba remake.
in the snes version of the game if you die outside a dungeon you end up back to your house or to the top of a building if you are in the dark world(luckily this issue was fixed in the gba remake).also I hate the game's plot,at first the game told you exactly what to do,but right after you finish the 4th dungeon, the plot disappears and you are on your own.
many weapons you receive are useless garbage, most of the optional items are a lot's of times more useful than the non optional.one of the worst non optional items was the ice rod,all this thing did was to freeze my enemies for some seconds.I can do the exact same thing with my boomerang, and my boomerang does not drain my magic meter.the ice rod is only useful against 1 and only one boss.and to make things worse the ice rod was not inside the dungeon,so I had to let that boss kill me and search to the internet for help.
