I have no idea what it's about, but it's very well animated. If the original animator could be contactable, I'd love to know what he had in mind when creating it.

Ok so insane theory time (Iβm not saying itβs my theory, probably a lot of you can come to the same conclusion) but hear me out:
To start the video is called me me me, easily the video shows an exterior of selfishness but that isΒ justΒ the cover.
In the video we see the guy in almost a catatonic state, he seems depressed and tired, it becomes obvious that the girl was his girlfriend, and that probably she became an idol (all apparent for the first part, that is just like all idol videos in existence, in choreography and stuff) then all starts to devolve, she becomes more sexualized, in could be a decision of her managers, or maybe that is an exaggerated version of his because he is her boyfriend and he doesnβt feel comfortable with so many people watching her, thenΒ we mustΒ remember that in Japan the idols sign a contract to not have boyfriends EVER, so young fans can aspirate to love those idols
Probably this went to worst,, they got distanced, Β she started to do more videos and stuff that being as famous as she is he constantly sees, she is in the media and even if he doesnβt want to think in her, the world constantly is reminding him that she exists, and that they canβt be together anymore.
She literally leaps out of his pc to harass him, but that creature isnβt her anymore, she has become corrupted, artificial, she is a product to sell.
In the last part he fights the system and tries to get her back, but it is a difficult proses, he sees her cry, and he doubts, but then the artificial creature uses all her power, and utterly she destroys him, meaning that she in the real world, for the sake of her carrier and to not cause more harm to him and herself, she ends all possibility to be a future with both together, she closes her heart ( or at least he wants to think that) and he his leftΒ empty.

Very well put. So it would be much or accurate for me to say that it seems simple from my perspective and that what may be obvious to me may sound ridiculous to someone else's view.
My analysis:
It seems to me that the boy in the music video is wrestling with feelings of lust and romance whilst the masked woman is an embodiment of his subconscious testing his resolve and laying bare his actual feelings about a girl he loves and women in general.

There's speculation about it being about the fears of progressing into adulthood and becoming sexually active but taken to the extremes like the foreplay scene the hand he was using is the thing that goes all deformed and the lumps in her stomach is like the fear of pregnancy, and obviously the guy getting his sexual organs bit off.... yeah ^_^; and I'm not sure what the ending has to do with that but I think the big thing you see at the end is supposed to be god and that's why the girl dies from looking at it, something about how humans can't handle the true image of god, it's been awhile since I looked into it I'll have to go back and research it again :')

I read different interpretations. at first sight I'd say it's about porn addiction or the comfort that comes with it without having the emotional connection to an actual girlfriend and the difficulties that come with a relationship. but there have been videos like this before, so this is part 3 of a series. so it could be about his ex-girlfriend and his life after the break-up or something.Β
