Alice movie poster, based on 'American McGee's Alice'. I have never played the game before but when I heard about an upcoming movie called 'Alice', I was intrigued so I did a web search. I was inspired by the amazing graphics and the idea of a movie for it so I chose this for my school Design project.For the fans of Alice! Hope you like.
Knife made in Photoshop(in my gallery). Face is actually the beautiful Milla Jovovich, which I've manipulated to look more like McGee's Alice.
Will be looking forward to seeing the movie.

Ah! I'm so glad other people have heard of American McGee's Alice!
I couldn't make it through the game, myself, since it was creepy as all get-out, but it was amazing. The plot, in a non-spoiling nutshell, is that Alice has gone crazy and sent to a nuthouse, where she is trapped inside her own head in this weird corrupted "Wonderland". She can't communicate with anyone in the real world, or even move much at all, but the treatments the nurses give her affect how she views her internal hell. Conceptually, it's fascinating.
Again, creepy as hell, though.
I was actually really happy to hear that they were making a movie based on this Alice, but, sadly, the movie was canceled as soon as it got out that someone else was making a "Alice in Wonderland" remake. They figured that, since they were slated for release around the same time, and that "Alice" is a little more esoteric than "Alice in Wonderland", the end result would just be that both movies would do badly, and "Alice" would end up just bombing, anyway.
I've resented "Alice in Wonderland" much more since this news.
*ahem* Anyways, the artwork for your poster is really amazing! Reflections are never easy, and I love the angle of the Cheshire face peering back. Works perfectly with the morbid corpse-like face of Alice. Very true to the game's image.

I know. There's many proportions that are unrealistic. I followed the proportions of the video game charater. Her knife looks more like a sword from Final Fantasy doesn't it?

It will be a film with live acting. Previous update was set to release 2009 but I think changes have been made since. Now release date is unknown. Casting of Alice is also unknown. Won't be MSG I believe.

Oh they did! It was on the wall outside the art room. The staples holding it fell off, so my art teacher left it on the bench so she could put it back up. A while later it was gone! lol. Someone liked it so much they stole it. Luckily, I still kept the origial Photoshop file and gave her a copy.

Personally I think they should get the girl who played Hermione in Harry Potter, I think she was called Emma Watson. She's the right age and she could pull it off.
