Description Gods, i suck so much. =_=;; This was a five minute sketch (was it even that?) for this project that I know nothing about. The concept struck me as good, and thus . . . well, the crying skeleton with skin. I think , umm, started it maybe? I just looked at Ery's newest deviation . . .

Umm, I'm supposed to paste this . . . I think . . .

I feel like I've just sent out a chain letter. 0-<

~~~~~~~~~
I am challenging everyone who reads this to do a piece depicting bulimia or anorexia and the anguish that surrounds it. PLEASE DO THIS!
As a part of the challenge, please copy and paste this journal! IF YOU HAVE READ THIS AND CHOOSE NOT TO ACCEPT FOR WHATEVER REASON, REALIZE THAT YOU ARE MERELY WORKING TO DEFEAT A GOOD CAUSE! I only hope you will be able to sleep with that conscience of yours telling you about how you could have changed at least one life by doing this.
From the moment you read this and take on the challenge, unless it is for school, or your job, please work on no other pieces until you have done this piece. No scanner? Take a pic of it and submit the finished piece. No digital camera? There are dispensable ones. The only excuse for not doing this is if you have no hands.
THE CHALLENGE IN FULL- Portray either...
*The mental agony that people are in who have anorexia or bulimia including how they view themselves or how they think others view themselves
*How truly ugly these things are, and how it doesn't make the person beautiful but exactly the opposite
*how hopeless those who want to quit but cannot force themselves to, feel
*How it affects their loved ones
*how the media adores these half-dead people
*how these people mutilate themselves
*how there is still hope for a person with one of these disorders to change
*the relief of someone who has beaten it
If you can manage to fit them all in to one piece that would be great and I would personally hail them as genius, and a hero.
No artistic talent? stick figures...
;_;
The whole topic depresses me...I don't understand why people feel the need to be thin, and it makes me mad and angry when thin girls say they are fat. As a heavy set girl myself (though I don't view myself as fat), I can't see what they don't like about themselves. I personally think meaty girls are more attractive. Same with boys. I worry for the boys that I see are all skin and bones and I know that most people overlook the fact that there are boys that go through the same thing.
Not sure if I have the time to contribute to the project, but I completely support it.
And I understand what you mean.
yeah, that's pretty much what people look like when it comes to that. That's why I despise the whole of humanity involved in it.
Yeah. You shouldn't despise them, but it's honestly better than me. I pity them.
I recently wrote a poem on "beauty". It expresses my aborrence towards plastic surgery. I have a family history of weight problems and diabetes, so my parents pressure me and my sister to watch what we eat. It hurts sometimes, especailly when I bring home a pint of Ben and Jerry's and my dad says that I'll be big as a house just from eating that pint. I am 5'4'' and at average weight. The only people that see me as thin are close friends and my Italian reletives. I'm more than happy to help your cause, men and women need to feel beautiful; inside and out.
In the words of Bette Midler: I'm Beautiful, Dammit!
I'm sorry. It shouldn't be that way. At least it isn't about the bloody standard of a "proper" weight for you.
And I know you are. It's not my cause, per say, but I'm happy to support it.
Thank you. I think that they somewhat intertwine. People with poor self-esteem sometimes resort to drastic mesures like this. There is a saying, meat is for the man, bone is for the dog. If I had to choose, I'd go for the meat hands down.
Anorexia always bugged me because it is caused by peoples want to look beautiful and are so afraid of looking fat because society makes it look wrong. Thin is ok but without a word of a lie it kinds bugs me when i see a person who is so anorexic i can see all their ribcage. anyways nice picture really brought out some emotion from me so i will fav it and i think i will join the challenge too
Thank you.
