Sandry. Daja. Tris. Briar.

These are the four mages from Tamora Pierce's 'Circle' cycle - 'The Circle of Magic,' 'The Circle of Magic,' and 'The Will of the Empress,' or 'The Circle Reforged.'

I wanted to do this because I've never done a lot of fanart for this series before, which is a shame, because I absolutely love it, and because I'm really dissatisfied with the cover for 'The Will of the Empress.' It's just, a castle, in a sphere, and some eyes, and GOLD COLOR. No thank you. SO decided to do a more fitting illustration, featuring the four mages, and their bond. And I like how it came out!

I think Sandry is probably my least favorite (but she had to go on the top, because if there's ONE mage who gets prominence, it's her), and Tris (sorry, on the bottom) is my favorite drawing. Oh, and I had to severely curb myself from making Briar look like Prince Naveen. Next time I won't hold back.

Made use of circles and spirals, and a Native American sun cross in the middle there.
