Description This is the Adventure of Link voxel image I mentioned last month. As before the process has stayed the same: Most of the modeling was done in Qubicle Constructor. Lighting and rendering in 3ds Max. Post processing in Photoshop.

I added the health bars and HUD to make it seem more like a screen shot of the game instead of an illustration. I think I just prefer the nostalgic feeling it gives me when it looks like a game

Nintendo did a few remakes of old NES games in 3d called "3d classics". Unfortunately none of the big titles received such remakes.

Critiques...barely any! Hmm...let's see... Well, very good job. This is really good. The perspective and everything is very well executed. Maybe reverse the pillars on the left, so the lighting makes sense? And this is just a suggestion, but if the text and icon's blue shadow thing was in perspective like everything else, It would be interesting. For Link, again, take the actual lighting into account. The torches would cast that shadow the opposite direction. I guess you just have an over all cast shadow going towards the right on everything, but it would look better if you did use actual lighting.

One of the first NES games I ever played. It’ll always have a place in my heart.

Wish they did more 3D classics for 3DS.

Very good 3D remake of the beginning of that game. I like the shadows, and especially how you did the pillars.

I love these voxel arts, because they remain so true to the original game while adding a whole new dimension to it. Nice work.

This is very impressive. Nice work! The 3D style is very unique for an 8-bit area.

Gorgeous. Really fantastic work, man. I'm right with you on the nostalgia. This really takes me back. If by any chance you decide you haven't done enough Zelda II, it would be really cool to see the epic battle with the Thunderbird in the Great Palace (next-to-final boss, just before he faces Dark Link) done this way....just sayin'

This is very cool. I like how it's the same image basically as the game but has the flair of perspective, which makes it something new. Very nicely done!
