 This was one of the first complex pieces I made for a client and have to tribute most of this to his patience.

heh i am terrified.  :c  
I wrapped her hands and sleeves in soft green foam and then surrounded her in a bubble of soft peanuts then bubble wrapped her into a packet and floated that in a box of soft peanuts.  the external box was filled with crunchy peanuts.  I've been praying to the UPS gods since I sent her out.

*painful sigh*

Only a few more days though ;o;

LOL I just read this little thread...  I remember while it was shipping I kept thinking... "ohgodups... her hands... her wings... her tininess...  how..."  And when the box arrived there was a big knocked out chunk of the corner... and I thought, "ohgodups... her skull...",... and everything was perfect.  LET THIS BE A CREDIT TO YOUR SHIPPING  METHODS!  <3<3<3

Yeah, but I didn't photograph it; >.<; If it ever happens again I'll take a picture of it.  It looked like it was kicked in, to the corner of the inside box!  My guess is the weight of a different package pinched it down or something similar... BUT WORRY NOT; your methods still worked!  You should have seen the box Quickstitch - Red Mage Plush came in... It was from Poland, and it looked like it walked from Poland barefoot through a sandstorm.  He was safe and sound inside his little bag though!  /faint  I guess it's just the joys of shipping!?

YIS ;o; next time if a box looks TRASHED... take pictures as you take it apart.  Then if there's a insurance dispute they can see that it was handled badly though adequate packaged.  Also I can complain if they're being shitty to my boxes...

Absolutely!  I'll keep that in mind next time!  I was just so worried (and then extremely relieved).  

Herd Pony Picture Incoming!  I'm on the list for PlanetPlush to do a little Quickstitch.  Her stallions are awesome (I mean, thus far, I haven't gotten one that wasn't incredible); her's are a little smaller.  I can't wait.  Maybe after that; I'll get a picture up of the group of them?  I'll sneak in the little sculpt of him too because it's pretty adorable.

I AM TOO!  Frixio is in the living room giving me daily quests now!  THE GIANT DOME IS FILLED (as is the giant dome in my heart from the arrival)!  xoxoxo

I know it's a he.  But the client said it looked like a cute little grandma, so even I call it a she now - we named her Frix for short in emails so it's gender neutral without either of the -xio -xia name endings.

as for what other people call it, male or female, it doesn't bother me.  Please realize that not everyone plays FF games, or 14, or even cared if they did play.  It's wearing a dress, fluffy bloomers, and has marge simpson hair - can we really fault their oversite?

I don't think it affects the quality of my work as i wasn't expected to make it obviously masculine, but just to copy the design that i was given.  not sure the purpose of your comment.  

Edit: Also, RogueErugo, the person you 'corrected' is a VERY close friend of mine.  Please refrain from talking that way to people who comment on my work.  All it does is make me hide your comment so they don't have to deal with it.

Sorry about that.  Mapledragon needs to curb their enthusiasm... e_e

But thanks for the compliment :3  the painting was one hell of a chore, and i'm super glad I worked on her after the Bloom sculpt because I learned so much about drybrushing fades, texture, and blending, higlighting, etc.  she had so many colors that i ended up breaking it into five main ones and then mixing them as I went along.  @0@  such a task!

heh heh i didn't measure... BUT that lightbox is ~12" to the top, so she's got to be between 11 and 12" on base.
