Description Acrylic on A2 paper, Photorealism

Another car reflection painting. It's actually quite different from the original photo, when I make these smaller nearly abstract paintings, I play a little with the colors and contrasts. The upper part of the painting is the front window of a car, while the lower part is the hood. It's like you can nearly see inside the car from the window if you look closely.

In the artistic freedom that lets be improve the motifs in composition and contrasts and abstract them.

are you inspired by any mainstream artist or is this concept of your own design? If its not indescreet, evidently

I'm strongly inspired by Richard Estes, but I have developed this consept of making abstract realistic images from just car windows and hoods on my own

Hard to see the inside of the car. I first didn't see the car. But good job on this one.

Thank you It's not necessarily about what it is you're looking at, but the colors, the contrasts and the flow in the composition.

hey vijujako
really like this concept, I think the way you are approaching this subject is very different to how Richard Estes was, they are very abstract but very real as well, a quite good contradiction of art forms that shouldnt work but does exceptionally well. I think you may have found your niche in the photorealist artworld.

also what got me thinking, was when I was trying to work out the insides of the car with the reflection of the window pane, it was like i was actually trying to do one of those magic eye images when you have to look through and stare at the upper layer to get the image beneath.
great work with a lot of potential to develope concepts from.

Thanks a lot! I find these motifs very interesting and I have taken lots of pictures like this from this city, so you are going to see more of these

as usual, wow

i love it
and of course it's gonna be different from the original photo. photorealism isn't always about reproducing the photo. it's producing a painting that's photorealistic. Photos are less realistic than paintings in many ways.
anyway, i think you pulled this off quite nicely
