I absolutely love how you colored things especially the landscape and such. It's both beautiful and cheerful at the same time! ^^and this picture is totally cute even without any characters. Somehow all those details doesn't interrupted the entire piece, I think it's because of the correct lighting, its placement and all. Something I wish to improve! XD

My I asked how long you spent on piece like this, I'm trying to speed up my work process, so it's very helpful to know how other artists doing. Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much!

This one took me pretty long. Mostly because I've been working on it partly with other images (plus I've been absent for two weeks and had no opportunity to pait). But if making some rought calculations it took me somwhere around 30-35 hours. Countung sketching, edits and such. Yeah, Im really not fast xp But it might be not that a big deal for pictures you're making for yourself

Speaking of light stuff. Have you red James Gurney Colour and light? I'm reading it right now, quite a useful guide. I tried to use some advices for this painting.

You're welcome.

Wow, that is quite some time you put into your works, then I guess it's normal to put 15-20+ hours on painting. XD sometimes much longer for me, I'm also pretty slow when it comes to clean painting. Other than that the details are still impressive. I really want to improve my speed, in case I want to try open some commission when I'm ready, but I agreed on making art for yourself part. Last, nope, I don't think I ever read that book before, thank you for the info! Might go look for it!

I've been really up to learn working faster two years ago. It was like a challenge I made for myself. But now I'm working as 2D artist and that's the place I do draw faster then for myself, so... I'm sorta chilling when it comes to personal art Still I hate being so slow. I think that's mostly because I'm always quite unsure in my skills and afraid of making mistakes. However, when it comes to work there's not that much time for thinking about those things xD You're just working hard and, as a result, not so bad in the end.

I guess I need to learn how to be chill with my personal arts more often, since I'm more than 50% serious about every single things I do it's kinda hard to truly relax sometimes. and I agree on the working part, sometimes you just have to drop the quality a bit in order to meet the dateline, and it doesn't look half bad at all most of the time.

Story of my life XD Still, I hope both of us will eventually learn to be more relaxed when working on personal art
