Dodge had been making himself quite comfortable in Xassa. While they were a strange pack, proud and always devoted to their beliefs, they'd still allowed him- and Samiel- the grace of joining their ranks without dying of heat exhaustion or likely starvation.

This meant that they were to put themselves to use, however. It had been a good while since Dodge was apart of any pack, let alone a group of wolves at a time. While he found himself admittedly curious, if not skeptical, the grumpy male did his best for the longest while to keep to himself. While keeping the title of career omega was something Dodge was just fine with...

... It was not so fine to the others. Especially those of higher ranking.

The summer days were growing hotter and longer, leaving Dodge nothing but to chase for shade and rest to relieve the heat from his thick coat. Unfortunately, he still stood out like a sore dewclaw compared to the rest of the pack, and it wasn't hard to locate the snoring male. The harsh eyes of different wolves would set themselves upon the male with intent on waking him up without the need for soft words or a gentle nudge, and so often Dodge would jolt and fall from his comfortable resting point. By then, the figure would be... gone.

He would have to get to work if he wanted to stay here.
