Description One by one, Yulian began to make herself a known friend to the wolves of Chandor and introduce herself a bit more personally. It was hard, reaching out in a place she'd never felt so... strange in. But nobody had given her any reason not to do so. There was an instance in the spring... But Yulian had tried with great effort to move past it.

After all, hadn't everything so far come down to just that? Moving past it all?

Finding these ideas were too big to digest so early in the day, the large wolf began to shift her attention elsewhere. She'd met everyone- so she thought. But, realization came and Yulian remembered a wolf she'd seen very rarely, though her pelt was unmistakably bright. How could she hide herself away so well in all of this summery green? A worse thought arose. With growing fear and concern for the mysterious white wolves, she'd hoped to never make the mistake of mistaking this packmate for... one of them.

Usually though, the former guard's eyes were better than that. Yulian made her way from the main dens of Chandor and outwards into the thick of the territory.

Though not without it's flaws, summer was shaping up to be the break Yulian now wanted even more than needed. The air felt less thick, somehow- at least from tension. The nights always cooled down and the she-wolf often took her time to leave the comfort of the dens to sit outside and in the open, listening to the music provided through the wind whistling through the trees and the gentle hum of the earth.
She was a little awkward yet here, still not a wolf who could pull off coming across as a real Chandorian... but Yulian was giving it a real and honest go.

Yulian hadn't needed to wander too far before something- or perhaps, someone, caught her ears... and then eyes.

As Yulian emerged from the edge of forest to take on the full view of Chandor's main lake, the figure of a wolf could be made out. She tensed, but the air smelled clear. It was safe.
With a few more steps into the open and a little closer in, the light wolf Yulian had seen only a few times, at most, sat in place. She was perfectly still, and her face... she was either too far out, or... Yulian squinted. Her expression seemed unreadable. Still, she could come to understand that. Maybe this wolf was just as stressed as everyone else and spending some time alone helped her.

Yulian gave a smile and a gentle wag of her tail. She could certainly understand that. Maybe these two had much more in common than they'd ever know. She too, took note of how the she-wolf sat herself besides the lakefront. Yulian knew that water was the only relief you'd get from days like these. Maybe they could even go for a swim- if things really took off and they got along well enough. She was feeling nervous and excited all the same. Maybe, making new friends and moving on wasn't all as hard as she'd thought it was. Maybe, it could really be quite easy. Taking a deep breath and finding the salty air a great source for breathable courage, Yulian proceeded towards the wolf with nothing but solidly good intentions. Today, she would try and push herself to make a new friend.

Yulian braced herself, gave a soft but firm clear of her throat, and called out.

I totally loved working on this comic with you- definitely not our first rodeo, either! 😂 This turned out so lovely and I'm so grateful to be plotting something... rather big with you and our girls.
