BIG VIEW to see the details

The Snowbird is rising from his lair into the air to begin his Winter-flight after his log sleep after the last a long autumn night.

As us usual I made this by applying Encaustic Waxart technique. After scanning the pic this time however I digitally switched and enhanced some of the colors.

The bird I made by scratching away the wax with w sharp pointy Kitchenknife later on exposing the white surface of the card beneath the wax.

I still don't know if my encaustic wax-art is supposed to go into the drawing or painting sections

OH well

Traditional Encaustic Wax-Art

Technique = Enaustic Waxart
Tools = Lithe Iron for applying the wax
Colors = wax Hobbyline + Stockmar colored beewax blocks
Paper = Special glossy paper card
Original Size = A6 (postcard size)
Time to draw it = about 3 hours
