SHOW: Sovereign Hills Valentines SwingINFORMATION:

Welcome, lovers, to our sweetheart themed event! This will be a classic 1 day eventing meet, with the opportunity to enter single classes too, with a laid back, romantic feel in the air. For Valentines Day we have decided to highlight the bond between horse and rider, and as such you may draw an extra image showing their close bond to snag some extra points - however you want to show that special friendship is up to you but it must be a fairly polished piece to get those points, not a sketch.
VALENTINES COLOUR PALETTES:
Use these colours, and anything close to them, to liven up your horse and rider teams garments and get them into the spirit of things! Ribbons, flowers pinned in the hair, feathers in the tail, wear a ruby red dressage jacket, a bright pink protective vest, whatever! You are not limited to these colours exactly - think shades of reds, pinks, purples and whites and throw some metallics in there for a bit of sparkle.

Can we just point out that I'm uploading art... like, what!? And, I had fun! Crazy!
Also yes I failed on decorating the arena ._.

It was hot. So hot that Ryan felt like melting on the spot. A huge change from -20C back home in snowy Canada for sure. Australia was in the middle of its summer and the landscape was burnt to a crisp by the sun. Everything was dry, dusty, and shrivelled. Ryan applied some lip gloss to ease the stress over his dry lips. His hair was brittle too and already full of dust, which was driving him crazy.

Hymn sparkled in the sun, freshly washed and groomed. His roan coat hid any dust that settled, which suited Ryan fine. Ryan took a swig of his now lukewarm water and sighed, the eventing portion of the show was on currently meaning that he had to wait patiently for the singles dressage. Alone in Australia without a cute guy in site, pure torture. "I could have been at the beach... but no..." Hymn nudged him with his nose as if to say 'What are you complaining about, you have me'. Ryan booped him in the nose and chuckled.

"Hey!" Ryan looked up in mild confusion. "Hey, Ryan!" A figure walked over with a smile.

"Hey, Erica! Oh man, I didn't know you were going to be here today? Whaaaaatttt!? This is insane, where are you staying, why didn't you tell me or Reef you were going to be here? How many horses did you bring? Gosh, this is crazy!" Ryan gushed and clapped his hands in joy. Erica looked mildly taken aback by the sudden burst of energy but composed herself.

"Well, we brought two, Tiffani is back at our trailer and-"

"Whaaaaattt!? Why didn't you guys tell me? Where are you parked? I just brought good ol' Hymn because he doesn't get out much these days, who did you bring? Oh, oh! Did you bring a Stoltzer? Reef would get a kick out of it if you did!" Ryan was grinning so hard his face hurt but at least he had forgotten about the heat and dryness.

"We brought Maerad and-" Ryan cut her off by letting out some sort of noise that resembled a startled wallaby. He began to ramble about how excited he was that Erica had come all the way from Canada like him and how he didn't realize that she had at all. Erica shifted her weight uncomfortably and looked off into the distance.

"-and I couldn't believe that they didn't have onyx black in stock! Like, it just came out! I couldn't believe that no store in all of Ontario had it in stock! Even Sephora of all places! So I ordered it online and I got free shipping!" Erica blinked and stared at Ryan. What? What was the conversation about now? "Now look at my nails, the heat may suck here but at least the polish doesn't chip like when we're back at home and its freezing." Ryan shoved his hand in Erica's face to show her his painted black nails, flawlessly manicured.

"Oh Ryan, I um... I hear Justin, he's calling me... yep... dressage singles is next and-"

"WHAT!?" Ryan spun around and vanished in a cloud of dust. "Oh my god! I haven't brushed off Hymn's fly bonnet! Oh my God! Where is my fourth polo!?" he cried from inside the trailer tack room.

"It was nice seeing you Ryan, good luck!" Erica bee lined out of the immediate area and called out her goodbye while en route. Ryan could go from zero to one thousand and Erica wasn't mentally prepared for that. If she was lucky, she could get a few hours of peace and quiet without Ryan around if she was careful enough. Reef had even texted to warn her that he would be there and she didn't head that warning at all...
