this is a fan-art for
Sweden and Finland are outdoors enjoing the northern lights. Sweden has a slight smartass smirk on his face and Finland ofcourse has his precious puukko (knife like weapon) with him and on his face the "touch me and you are dead" expression....as you can see Sweden didn't notice this on time
yeah, this one is a bit more realistic than the traditional pics of the scandinavian folks Humon draws...but I did my best to make them look the same

I've learned more about Scandinavia through humon's comics and admirers than I ever expected. The knife, for instance. I thought it was just a knife. Nope, like much in scandinavia, it has a history and specific purpose. Fascinating.

Yeah, her comics are great. I have also learned a thing or two about my neighbors from her.
Yup, the knife (puukko) was used as a animal-gutting-tool I think...and later on it established it's position in "gang"-fights and became a symbol of power in the old days. Nowadays it's just a tool in hunting and fishing....
