Description
Forget everything you know. Wipe your memory clear. Every sad moment, every happy moment, delete it. You won’t be needing it anymore. Not for what we’re doing, at least.
For now, let’s call you Subject #03. Too formal? You want a human name? Or at least a name that makes sense? Alright, let’s see what I can come up with.
Your name is now Adalynn, and you are a 15 year old teenage girl trying to survive high school. Don’t question this, the higher ups hate it when you do that. It makes them angry.
But first, I need to check something. Hold your arm out, won’t you? I promise it won’t hurt...much. Only for the first second. Now let me find my blood tube. Don’t run away! I just need to check your blood. Something I do for everyone that comes through here. Have you never had your blood drawn? It’s freaky to watch, I’ve had it done many times. But it’s not all that bad. Just gotta make sure the person drawing it hits your vein and not a muscle, and that it doesn’t collapse while still in your arm. It hurts like a bitch when that happens.
Now we just have to find your vein. Make your hand into a fist. There we go, there it is, right in the middle of your arm. Now, we want to try and just stick it in quickly! Close your eyes if it makes you uncomfortable.
Pop! There we go, it’s in. Don’t shiver, don’t tense up. It’ll only make it harder. While we get this done, I’ll try and ease the tension.
My name? You can call me The Author. I’ve made this whole universe just for you. I guess you could also call me your guardian angel. It’s really up to you. I don’t have a human name, or at least, I don’t remember one. You can call me whatever you’d like. Meagan? That’s a nice name. I guess I could go by that.
Oh, well, time goes quickly. We’re done. Hold on one second and poof, it’s out! Now I’ll just put a bandage on, sorry, all I have are Hello Kitty ones. There we go. Good as new! Now let’s take a look at that blood of yours!
A pretty pink color! Like the color of Pepto Bismol! Nice! You’re a lower up, but that’s still a pretty blood color! You look shocked. I guess I should explain to you about this new universe, huh?
Red blood is common on this world, and it’s viewed as common blood. You’re known as a commoner if you have it. Commoners sometimes have psychic powers, like the ability to levitate and such. It’s pretty cool. The farther you get from red blood on either side, the less likely it is you’d have psychic powers. But we have other colors as well.
Pink to yellow are lower ups. You all are the poor people of this universe. You are basically punching bag material for the higher ups. And sometimes the commoners. But you’re going to change that, hopefully. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
My blood? I’m a yellow blood. Other than commoners, my blood is the most likely to have psychic powers. So far, I have them. I guess I make up for the others that don’t, as they are the reason why I made this universe. All with that power. You could too, if you had some.
Unfortunately, you do not have psychic powers. As you are as low as lower ups can go, you were unlikely to have any. Sorry about that.
The blood colors from lowest to highest are pink, brown, cream, yellow, red, orange, green, blue, purple, and then black. Black is only for the rulers of this universe. If I had chosen that color for myself, I would have been a tyrant. But I didn’t want that power. With great power, comes great responsibility. Or at least, I think that’s how it goes.
Only two black bloods can exist at one time. Both girls, so it looks like feminism reigns supreme here, I dunno. I didn’t make the rules, only made the universe. The older black blood is the one that rules, and the younger one is the one that lives with lower ups and higher ups to gain their support for when she reigns.
You look tired, this is a lot of information right? Alright, let’s slow down a little bit and recap. This is a new universe created by me, The Author. There are different blood colors from pink to black, and you are a lower up. You are also struggling to survive high school. Good start to your new life.
Contrary to popular belief, you do have some friends. A purple blood named Gray, who loves to tell jokes and embarrassing himself. He’s the highest blood color a boy can possibly have. You also have a friend named Alice, who is a green blood. She enjoys sewing and playing with animals.
Green bloods are suited with the task of calming down the different colors when they get into fights. For example, if you and Gray got into a fight, Alice would calm you two down. Green bloods are naturally good at this, which is why they can be both loved and feared.
You look so tired, sweet Adalynn. Shhh, lay down your little head in my lap, okay? Get some rest, starting a new life is always hard. When you wake up, you’ll be in a new room, ready to start your new life. Good night, sweet Refiner.
