For one it has the long nose and the tail end comes to a rounded point (much like the 911's). Also the racing version looks like it belongs on the track without deviating too much from the original shape. All thats really changed is the addition of a front lip, spoiler, rear diffuser, air vent on the door and a gas cap. If you can keep the original shape without changing too much, you're doing something right.

The bottom racing version just screams a GT version of a 911.
