From what I read, H.K. Porter built their last Locomotives in 1950, so these had to have been amongst the last they built. They specialized in smaller designs like this one.
Not a lot of info on this model readily available. I have the Heisler that PP and L ran on my site, it's larger than this- and it had a ready steam supply available since it worked at a power plant. I'm not certain what steam source these drew from at the yard. I'd be curious how it was set up.

I take it you've read my Old Smokey series? I might use them as shop goats and other duty switchers. Also, There was a fireless cooker along the East Tennessee & Western North Carolina Railroad that worked for the North American Rayon Company interchanging coal hoppers with the ET&WNC. It served the plant until 1992 (this might be the last steam locomotive to work in the USA under revenue service!)
