Description I do NOT own the photograph, I scanned it from my copy of "Southern Railway System: Steam Locomotives & Boats" by Richard E. Prince.

According to the book, The Richmond & Danville Railroad Company purchased this little 0-6-0 saddle tank engine from the Rogers Locomotive & Machine Works of Paterson, New Jersey USA for switching duties, rolling out of the Rogers plant in 1882 and numbered #41, later to #5. It would later be passed into Southern Railway ownership in 1894 when the R&D merged with the East Tennessee, Virginia, & Georgia Railroad Company, and it would be renumbered to #1302. It was later renumbered to #1502 in 1903. It was later scrapped at Manchester, South Carolina in May 1915.
