Nice try but I'm sure it can't be midnight, we'll give you the benefit of the doubt and call it artistic license.
I lived in the Canadian Arctic for many years and experienced the midnight sun in the summer and there isn't usually any snow. If this shot was taken in the Arctic it would have been taken about noon in January.

The EXIF says it was taken "Mar 22, 2008, 7:20:38 PM". I think the title is just that, a title; a caption to heighten the feelings you get when you view the image. I don't think Vincent was trying to trick you into thinking it was taken at midnight and that it is literally lit by the summer sun at a very high latitude.
