Description
There is a small park near the town I live in nestled between farmers' fields. A small river runs along two sides of the park, running under a bridge at either corner, an old, blocked off metal one and a new concrete over pass at the other. Under the concrete overpass, there is a line of rocks and concrete that impedes the river to an extent, forming inch high falls. On this day, I had just gotten a water proof housing for one of my cameras so I could get close to the water without having to worry about my camera getting killed. I got a few low angle shots of the falls but the water levels were pretty low so there wasn't the pronounced fall that I was hoping for but I did notice this clump of algae that was stuck to one of the rocks at the edge of the falls. I had to do a fair bit of work to balance on a rock to get this shot. This is one of the only places where the water is clear enough to see into, basically everywhere else, the water is filled with sediment that it picks up as it moves towards the Red River.
