So I didn't meet the deadline for that conceptart.og assignment. I'm too much of a perfectionist and I was slaving over the drawing board with this one pic. So here's the first character.His name's Gunnar Malloy. Onetime apprentice and bodyguard to Professor Alouicious Winterbottom, one of the primary inventors of steam technology. After the tragic death of his mentor, Gunnar has taken on the mission of finding those responsible for Prof. Winterbottom's death and exacting cold, ruthless revenge. His travels have taken him to the furthest reaches of the known world. He has been lovingly given the nickname "Nine Lives" because of his uncanny ability to "come back from the dead", or survive nearly impossible perils.

This is absolutely awesome. Again with the clean lines that are just done in pencil o_O The detail you and quite a few others here on DA can achieve with a pencil is just amazing. The story reminds of Vash the Stampede's slightly...yet the design is more like a samurai...except he has a huge ass gunblade. Very cool...plus fav for sure.

thx. for the comment dude. I haven't set out any particular color scheme. I wanted folks to color it however they see him. I should probably post all of the entries so far if I have the time. If you wanna try and color him go ahead, the contest is still running for two more days. I'll be making a decision by Sunday morning. Good luck and thx again.

i really liked eightonezero's colored version, but it seemd a little to gritty i like the comic colorin better, like how danimation does it
